Mission Statement
The Brussels Platform for Journalism was set up by the Universitaire Associatie Brussel. It aims to develop strong collaborations in terms of education, research and public valorisation and visibility between the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Erasmushogeschool Brussel, as well as the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

The Brussels Platform for Journalism has three main objectives:

1. Optimization of journalism education through collaboration within the Universitaire Associatie Brussel (VUB-EHB/RITS) as well as between the Universitaire Associatie Brussel and the ULB.

2. Optimization of fundamental, strategic and applied journalism research through collaboration between the research groups BIJouS, Cemeso, iMInds-SMIT, and RESIC, and the researchers at the Erasmushogeschool Bachelor Journalistiek and RITS - School of Arts.

3. Optimization of public valorisation and visibility of the journalism research and education of its members through collaboration with and communication towards journalistic organisations, media professionals, policy makers, NGO's, other stakeholders, and the larger public.

As such, the Platform forms an informal alliance of researchers and educators working on and teaching journalism. If you would require any further information, please contact Ike Picone (ike(dot)picone(at)vub(dot)ac(dot)be).
